As part of this year's TAKT festival in Novi Sad, on Sunday, September 26, a panel discussion was held on the position of women artists and cultural workers in the cultural sector.
Three speakers took part in the tribune: Tatjana Nikolić (FEMIX), Aleksandra Bajić (musician and singer-songwriter) and Vesna Mitić Žad (musician and singer-songwriter), while the conversation was moderated by Irena Čučković (Kulturanova).
During the forum, the two singer-songwriters spoke about the examples of discrimination they encountered in their daily work, while Tatjana Nikolić referred to some of the research that deals with the topic of discrimination against women in the music industry. At the same time, Nikolic presented the project "Gender Equality Generates Cultural Diversity" supported by the International Fund for Cultural Diversity of UNESCO, which will be implemented in the next two years by six member organizations of the Independent Cultural Scene of Serbia (Collective of Young Women Femix, Rebel Readers, Millennium, Studio 6, Kulturanova, Elektrika and the Center for Empirical Studies in the Culture of Southeast Europe).
