This year, TAKT Fest 2024 carries the slogan: Art, Activism, Authenticity, and will be held from October 10 to 13 at the Ruthenian Cultural Center "Matka", Jovana Subotić 8, Novi Sad. This year, the contestants (young singer-songwriters and singer-songwriter bands) come from all over Serbia and the region.
On Friday, October 11 is the competitive part, while the final and the announcement of the winner will take place on October 12. In addition to the competitive music part, the revue part will feature KOIKOI, Nemi pesnik, Dub KAJSIJE, the French band MITA, Gandy & The Sin Experience, last year's winner Marko Babović, as well as the band MECE, winners of this year's Šid Author’s Music Festival.
The film part of the festival brings a selection of films in four categories: music documentary, value of diversity, music video and Non-verbal Creative Short. In addition to films from the entire Western Balkans, films by authors from Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, America, Russia, Denmark, Austria, Canada, Switzerland, and Brazil will also be shown. Visitors will have the opportunity to watch all the selected films, as well as the first, second and third place in each category.
This year, the film section also brings a quiz for all film lovers, and in the speaking program we have two panels:
1) Where are the young women in the music industry? where the results of research on the position and needs of young women in the music industry in Novi Sad will be shown for the first time, and the following will speak: Director of TAKT Festival, journalist and activist Jelena Božić, musician Andrea Vranić and PR Malom Festival Sofija Serda.
2) Multiplier CODASI event, where we will present two years of findings that can help contemporary dance artists, which are a combination of research in six European countries, trainings, focus groups and workshops. All with the aim of providing solutions to problems and challenges in that industry.
