Association Kulturanova from Novi Sad organizes by site-specific performance in an abandoned castle of the family Spitzer in Beočin on Sunday, September 2, starting at 19 o'clock.
Interdisciplinary-oriented artists will be using dance, music, light effects, video and audio projection, authentic photographs and other art installations in order to completely change the ruinous interior of the former pearl of the Hungarian Art Nouveau architecture.
Visitors will be able to explore the interior of the castle and discover the secrets one by one part of the castle and become spectators and participants of the show. This unique event of contemporary art will enliven the space of the castle to an entirely new way. The legend of the dark sculptor with seven fingers will again become a reality, there will again be a family Orenstain and Spitzer who first resided in it, ball parties where they were dancing amusing, but also something new and more - The untold.
Multimedia performance is led by Gyula Cserepes, a contemporary dance artist, and Veljko Zeljak, a well-known sculptor from Belgrade, Casnyi Blanka Flora, a contemporary dancer from Hungary and Ibis Ćerimagić, a student of the Department of New Media at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad.
The entrance to this art event is free for all visitors. This event is part of the project "World of forgotten castles" led and created by the Association Kulturanova, supported by the Ministry of Culture, which aims to animate the general public and local communities to use their architectural heritage.
Our desire is to show how in a very short time and with a minimal investment you can breathe new life even in some abandoned spaces. We did that with clean-up actions and the performance itself.
