Partners on the ViSet project presented their works during the prestigious Threshold Festival which is held every year in Liverpool. In addition to performances from Spain, Italy and the UK festival visitors were able to see the play "Superhero of our time", which was jointly implemented by the Faculty of Management, Sremski Karlovci and Kulturanova as a partner organization on the project.
ViSet project involves four partner countries Italy, Great Britain, Spain and Serbia and will promote cutting-edge digital technologies that can greatly contribute to the performing arts, in order to point out social, economic, trade and cultural benefits that technology can offer in artistic creation. The objectives of the project are to improve the aesthetics and overall cultural experience through the use of these technologies, to encourage the creativity of artists and cultural workers, to expand international cooperation and market in the creative sector and create new employment opportunities for women in particular.
"Superhero of our time" is a theater play based on the novel "Kazohinia" by 1941 by Sandor Szathmari. The story about the journey, cultural shocks, exploitation, social exclusion and conflict, hunger and sex, shows the brutal clear physical action located in a virtual environment. Our intention was to create a real-time virtual set, with cameras on actors' heads, so that all experiences, details and procedures are shown through their eyes and focus.
We also plan to include the audience to be placing their selfies to create the scenery for the stage design. The play "Superhero of our time" will perform 6th and 7th of October in Barcelona, the 18th-19th of October in Serbia, and the 17th-18th of November in Brescia, Italy.
