Do you like thinking about and expressing your opinion on social topics in a creative way? Do you need a break from a busy week, but you would like to invest your time in something useful? Then this is the right opportunity for you! Everything is free of charge, so join us.

As part of the TeatarNova project, which is carried out by Kulturanova in collaboration with OPENS2019, we would like to invite you to theater workshops dedicated to young people. Let Me Introduce Myself — Loudly and Proudly is a project during which theater workshops will be held, with one of them dedicated to creating a version of Romeo and Juliet, based on Shakespeare’s text. The project will give young people the opportunity to present themselves and the city of Novi Sad as they perceive it, using the language of theater. Shakespeare once wrote: “What is the city but the people?“, and guided by his words we will try to discover the identity of Novi Sad. Is Novi Sad a city of happy men and women? A tolerant city? Is it a divided city? Is it a city of suppression? Discrimination? Love? Is a person allowed to be different in this city? Answers to these and many other questions will be given in our version of Romeo and Juliet, with the aim of presenting our city from different points of view.
When are the workshops held? Every Wednesday, from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., starting from October 24 to November 21, 2018. There will be five workshops. We will present our work on November 22 at 8 p.m.
Where do the workshops take place? At Teatar 34 (Vesela kornjača), 34 Pašićeva Street, Novi Sad.
Who are the workshop leaders? Uroš Mladenović, actor, drama teacher, and youth worker, and Milana Božulić, youth worker.
