It is with great pleasure that we present to you the new editor of our literary edition "Behind the Barricade", Alen Brlek.
Alen is the author of the poetry trilogy Metakmorfoza (2014, Algorithm / 2021 BEK), Pratišina (2017, Kontrast / 2020 Fraktura), Sang (2019, HDP/Kontrast, 2023 PNV Macedonia), and the collection Halal zumra (2023 ., VBZ). In 2022, a selection of songs in French (L'Ollave) was published. His poems have been translated and published in several languages and many publications. He currently works as an editor. As he says, everything else is private, on the Internet or irrelevant.
The publication "Behind the barricade" is a literary project launched to promote the short story as a somewhat neglected literary genre. In the time of big moves, media culture and spectacularity of the world we live in, literary knowledge, reading experience and writing skills are neglected. In an effort to promote non-commercial literature, Kulturanova launches an edition in the fight for high-quality literature by young authors, publishing fiction created behind the barricade.
