Traditional Acoustic Composition Competition - TaktFest will be held from 17th to 18th September in Novi Sad. A goal of the festival is to promote authors, acoustic music of young performers and musical groups. Applications are open until 10 September.
The right to participate in the festival have individuals and music groups, authors of musical works, regardless of the geographical origin of the participants and the genre of music, and in accordance with the rules and code of ethics of the festival. Priority is given to the participants (independent contractors) or authors of songs (in the case of group performances) younger than 35 years.
The festival involved a copyrighted song. The songs must be written and performed in the native language (if your native language is not Serbian, a performer should bring the translation of the song which will be submitted to the jury). The song, which is participating in the festival should not be part of the official release, or that is in the process of publishing by the end of the festival. Besides the competition songs, participants will perform two additional royalties tracks out of competition. Preference is given to those authors whose other two songs correspond to the propositions of the competition songs. The contestants have to perform on acoustic setting instruments, without the use of effects and plug-ins that change the basic sound of the instrument.
Registration can be done by filling in a form which can be found at http://www.kulturanova.org/taktfest/prijava.php. With the application, the participants should also submit the lyrics for all three compositions and translations, if the compositions are not in the Serbian language. Also, it is necessary to send the soundtrack of your work, of any quality and size. This does not have to be the song that the authors apply for the competition.
TaktFest 2016 will be held in the cafe "Sugar & Soul" (at JP SPC "Vojvodina") in Novi Sad from 17th to 18th September 2016. The main prize is a VGS-electro-acoustic guitar by GEWA from our golden sponsor - Stringer music company. All bands who reach the finals will also receive video clips of songs that are performed.
