ViSet is a European project that includes four partner countries Italy, Great Britain, Spain and Serbia lasting two years, which will promote the most contemporary digital technologies that may greatly contribute to the performing arts, with a goal to highlight the numerous social, economic, trade and cultural advantages which technology may offer to artistic creation. We will promote the use of virtual scene design in performing arts, including the use of interactive technologies, virtual and hyperreality and remote-controlled applications. Also, we will develop a network of cultural operators that will be trained to work with new technologies (providers) which will be connected to the online community with interested personnel as are festival organizers and theatres (users). The goal is with help of these technologies improve the esthetics and the all-in-all cultural experience, as well as to instigate creativity among artists and culture workers by creating new technical possibilities, through seeking increasing international cooperation and market within the creative sector, and thus we hope that with this we will be able to create new possibilities for the employment of women and through the use of new technologies decrease the need for natural resources for the creation of scene design, decrease the production of waste and the need for physical transport of materials and people.
The project is backed by the European Commission’s program “Creative Europe”.
